Change the sketch! (Ändern Sie die Skizze) [Vampires]

1-channel video installation for the Dining Room, Bonn

On a plateau with a cinema for 2 people, the staged reading of the 2nd part of the play "Illness or Modern Women" [1987] by Elfriede Jelinek can be seen.
Two actresses read in a teleprompter-like situation in front of an abstract stage set for the camera.
The women, now both vampires, are fought by their (ex-) partners and killed in the end. For each of the 6 scenes, Horndasch painted backgrounds which together with two mirrors form the stage set. The idea for this are the so-called China Girls, test images in the film. Found footage that Horndasch has collected, reused and restaged in various groups of works.
Caro Adam Bay and Diana Natalia Seyerle each take on two roles either with or without beards.
Adam Bay that of the nurse and vampire Emily as well as that of the of Dr. Heidkliff, a specialist in maxillofacial surgery and gynaecology, Seyerle that of Carmilla, housewife, mother and vampire as well as the role of her husband, the tax consultant Dr. Benno Hundekoffer.
